Recently I gatecrashed a trade fair just off Rivington Street in Shoreditch. I wasn’t expecting much.. I’d been dragged by a mate to help set up her own trade stand and knew I was being roped into an unglamorous day of furniture lugging.
So, I was surprisingly happy to find that the various entrepreneurs & their stalls that surrounded me were offering not only a sneak peak into some of the hottest new brands and innovations to come to the market, but at a traders discounted price. Glory.
A high number of stalls were showing hot new furnishings or boutique fashion related wares & having recently moved house I’m obsessed with all things “Home & Garden”…aspiring to Vogue chic - which is totally out of my budget.
The most glorious discovery was in the name of “House of Hackney” - with its embellished vintage pieces and hand painted prints. The wallpaper shown here is one of the prints that features heavily amongst all of the range.. I love the way it immerses you into the old colloquial world by bringing the element of the exotic islands discoveries to their old English vintage pieces.
If your ever fortunate enough to have cash burning holes in your pockets I’d advise you to invest in one of their enormously oversized silk cushions which come with various custom fronts and which will transform any room from bland to uber luxe.
